Arbitration
Binding ruling by Arbitrator, with options for type of award (Standard, Reasoned, or Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law)
Arb/Med Hybrid
To be determined on a case-by-case basis; case begins as mediation or arbitration and, during the process, the parties mutually agree that certain issues/claims are appropriate for mediation/negotiation, and others are appropriate for binding arbitration/ruling; if mediated claims cannot be resolved, a binding ruling is issued
Appraisal Umpire
Appraisers for each party, insured and carrier, submit written damages appraisals with supporting documents/reports; then either informal meeting or hearing is conducted, after which Umpire issues written damages Award
